I personaly want Emily to turn back to human again not stay phoenix and I would like to know what happened to Gabilan and have earth scenes and more elf battles and MORE EMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please post what you want in book 7 in a comment below
Rantatbook3om (talk) 17:20, April 23, 2017 (UTC) While Emily is a decent character, I really want to see some of the other characters get the spotlight. I mean up to this point in the book series most of the focus has been on Emily and now that she's "Gone" and/or a Firebird I'd really like to see how the other characters react. And when I say react I don't just mean to the news. i mean the way the characters interact with each other,their environment, their general character and mood as well as their plans for the future afterwards. Honestly ,as sad as it was to see Emily's transformation or "death"*, it opens up a lot of room for character development. What about Trellis and Vigo's relationship for a start? They're the last two " good" stonekeepers to our knowledge and we've seen very little interaction between the two. Not to mention they're the last ones to see Emily before the whole Firebird thing happened so there's no doubt a lot emotional stuff to tackle there. Story-wise, this would be an ideal point to start for some Team Stonekeeper bonding. Also, what about Emily's mom? Her daughter died! How does it effect her actions and such? Does this enforce the whole 'This is way too dangerous' thing she had going on at the beginning of the story? Or does her character go for a more vengeful turn? How does she treat other characters afterwards-specifically Navin? I could go on and on about the possibilities we have been presented with but I'm going to stop here before this turns into a hundred page paper. With all that being said, I assure you I do want Emily to come back! Do I want her to be the main focus of the book? Uh, not exactly. I understand that in order for her to come back in the final book, there needs to be some scenes of her fighting off the Voice's influence here and there. That's completely understandable as well as her being mentioned her and there since hello,she sort of just died! What I don't want is all the other characters turning into 'What would Emily do/say'- ers.** After all it's already been shown that these characters have their own personalities and can function without Emily. Those are my hopes for Book 8.

- Not that I actually think a skilled writer like Kazu Kibuishi would do that to his characters, it's just a hypothetical 'this is just something i really don't want to see'/worst scenario I can think of.
