What do you want to see in Book 7?

  • Seeing as the release date is tomorrow and some people have already managed to read the book, I wanted to begin a new thread for the next book. Please keep in mind that the following comments may contain spoilers for Book 6, so I advise those who haven't read the new book to refrain from reading or posting until after the fact.

To start off the discussion, what I want is:

    - Gabilan. He was nowhere in Book 6, but according to Kazu, he will return, and I'm assuming this will happen in the next book. I love this character and he obviously has some ulterior motive behind helping the Elf King.

    - I'm starting to have a feeling that Kazu is aiming to pair up Riva and Trellis at some point in the story. If this is his intention, then I'm definitely open to it, so as long as it's not forced or an interference to the story. I don't like Trellis X Emily.

    - Mecha battles! The last time we saw a mecha fight was when the Charnon House fought a giant Luger. So far, all the Colossus seem to be useful for are exploding before they can even actually be deployed. I want some ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH action!

    - Have Emily see her father again... perhaps in the Void. Trellis was able to see and speak to his uncle Virgil, so why not? I think this will provide a very heartfelt moment for Emily.

    - Earth. If anyone recalls, I think it was in the third book where the Voice told Emily that Alledia wasn't the only world in trouble and that her world, too, was in peril. I want part of the action to take place on Earth.

    - And of course, we need to see the Elf King's face!

Trust me, the new book was worth the wait, and there are some awesome new characters that I think you'll love. Of course, I won't deny that you might scream in agony after finishing it, knowing you'll have to wait a whole other year for the next one! I wish you the best of luck.

Since I've already read the book, I'm postponing purchasing it off Amazon as best as I can (since I'm currently earning for a 2DS) and just waiting for it to arrive at my local library, since they get there pretty quickly and usually have at least ten copies available. Of course, I'll still buy it by the end of the year, since I already own the first five books.

    • The sixth book was incredible, it has me eagerly waiting for book 7!

I'm hoping to see more of Gulfen and elves. I'm pretty sure there are more elves that are civilians, not just soldiers or servants. I'm also hoping to see more of Gabilan and his interactions with the group, their first and previous fight was a bit short and a let down.

    • Even though I haven't read the sixth book yet(I'm planning to immediately if I can find or get it), I actually had made a hypothesis about Trellis and the new female elf having a relationship. If they did, then I guess that I was right about this.

Like I said, Kazu seems to be heading in that direction.

I won't give you any spoilers, though.

    • Another thing I want in Book 7:

More about Emily and Navin's past. That is, before they entered Alledia. We hardly know anything outside of their father dying and them moving to a new house. I would like to see flashbacks about their life.

actually i only got into amulet after the first five books were out ('cause i live i brazil and things usually take a little time to get here - another reason that i didnt read book six yet) so its my first time waiting for an amulet book and its been PAINFUL.

now i feel like i really want to read that book but at the same time i dont, so it doesn't end. can i like...use a stone to go one year in the future or something? that'd be GREAT

well, im still waiting... i guess that a whole year wasnt enough!

so brofist everyone... se ya when i get the book

    • I'd also like to see what the third nation is like. On the map in the back of the book, it shows Gulfen, Windsor, and Lufen. While I would like to see how the Elf nation is like from the inside, I'd also like to know more if Lufen is going to have a role to play in the story or is just there simply for map space or something.

I'm guessing that Gulfen has a bit of a desert like terrain and Windsor has a more grassy and forest terrain, but is Lufen the same? So many questions...

If I recall correctly, the Charnon House was stationed at the bottom of Drucker Canyon. Also, in The Cloud Searchers, the crew travelled to Nautilus, where Rico and Enzo were found.

Although, I definitely agree we should see more of Lufen. I think all the locations shown on the map will have a purpose later on in the story. After all, Lucien did in the new book.

    • It seems like they are going to algos island and I guess more to do with trellis and elves. It seems logical that trellis and Riva are getting together (even though there going on two separate paths) I'm a big fan of tremily though. So it upsets me. I hounestly think emily going back to the human world after the series ends. (Side note ) I'm new here and it seems like every like tremily (or whatever he ship name is )

I agree with you! It upsets me that there is the big possibility of riva and trellis getting together (I do really like riva) but I adore Tremily!!! Maybe kazu will do some sort of plot twist but we can only hope :-/. Atleast Navin and Allison have a good shot :).

        Loading editor
    • Yeah , i got the book today and I've been in a slump since ( only on matters of shipping i thoroughly enjoyed the rest)

I Super Adore Tremily ! , I feel Riva And Trellis  are too cliche, with the fated meeting and such.

But i didn't really think Tremily was going to become cannon since different species and age ( But I WANT IT TO BECOME CANNON SO BAD) I feel so conflicted since Riva seems super cool and it would make sense if they got together since he'll (hopefully) be king and she was a mayor so she has a group of the elves trust so it would make sense if she was queen.

But i Still want Trellis and Emily to get together ;( especially since all the friendship development in book five

        Loading editor
    •  Yes, since it was shown many times throughout the series that Trellis ah-dores Emily. And how could he fall for another elf when Emily is the most good-looking?

        Loading editor
    • I honestly wish we could focus less on the possible romance for characters and more so on what else could happen. But everyone is free to voice what they think and what they want to see happen.

Algos Island was mention near the end(sorry for any spoilers to any of you), and I'm guessing that it's the very island Trellis and Luger grew up on. I'm really curious as to how and why they left the island and if any of the other elves living there remembered them or if they were even still there.

Just as I'm also curious to see if Emily really can meet her father through her memories or Silas, whether or not they'll discuss what they'll do AFTER the war is won and the Voice is delt with - will Emily and her family return home or remain in Alledia?

What sort of role will Gabilan play when he actually returns?

And remember in the first book, where Silas said that he had his memories placed in Miskit's databanks? How come that isn't brought up again? Is it for a later time in the story?

Lots of questions, so many that I kinda don't want to think too much on or ask in fear of not giving anyone else a chance to ask them first(and sorry for the long comment)

        Loading editor
    • It's actually possible for the fact that Trellis and Luger were from the island mentioned in the fifth book. About Silas's words to Emily in the first book, it may be for use in the later books if it wasn't mentioned in the sixth.

You know, I don't really know about any else of you, but I got a feeling that it's more of the VOICE they have to defeat. That was the main puporse of book 5. I think. Reread it and you might understand what I'm saying. heh.

Idea: could Trellis and Riva be brother  and sister or maybe even twins? They do have similar personalitys and kinda look alike. And at the end of book 6 when they meet, Riva kept repeating his name.

P.S.: I also agree that Algos Island could be where Trellis and Luger grew up. And I don't  really see Emily and Trellis in love.

Yeah, but to defeat the elf king they must destoy the stone! ^ ^

    • And how do they destroy th3nstone without the stone killing them???

        Loading editor
    • Just got a thought. What if the Elf King erased most of Trellis's memory's (and Gabilan erased Luger's memory completely) for a good reason? What if he didn't want them to remember some thing's because they were too painful? But what if it was only for a few years? Maybe he'll start to remember them after a while. What if like 6 years ago, before his mom died (not saying it really did happen) she told him how to destroy the Voice?

One other thing: Big deal if Trellis hugged Emily in the void! It wasn't a " I love you" hug, but more of a " We need to get out of here right now or else we'll die and this is most secure way to get out" hug.

      i agree tottaly.

so what probably happened was that trellis and luger somehow found out how to kill the stone and then it erased their memories. (*how?*) that actually makes perfect sense.

      - its funny how things change. remember when the first villain in the story was trellis? and then it became the elf king and now they wanna kill the stone. i wanna see more plot-twists they tottaly make the storry a lot better.

-- and about the hug... WHY do people make such a big deal about tremily? LET IT GO! if it happens it happens, if not it doesn't! stop pushing on that and let kazu do his job! i bet that whathever he comes up with will be as awesome as anything else.

I hope you get the book soon cuz it's like the best book in the world,  it was really worth the wait, but please have no more books that come out 2 years after the other one. You know all that information about King Levitas, 500 years of peace, cycle will start a new and that the Elf King was born exactly 500 years from the death of King Levitas that Virgil told Trellis in the Void? Well maybe, HE SHOULD TELL EMILY AND VIGO SOMETIME SOON!! Cuz I was thinking: what if the elf who is born exactly 500 years from the death of King Levitas, is cursed to be possessed by the stone/Voice; like King Levitas...

If you have NO IDEA what I'm talking about, read the 5th book.

I have a strong feeling they'll end up staying in Alledia even after the goal has been accomplished. I could be wrong, of course.

Also, is there any confirmation as to whether the characters have aged or not since the first book? Emily and Navin look a heckuva lot older now. Could be attributed to Kazu's developing art style (or maybe you mature faster in Alledia?), but there must be some reason to this in-story... right?

Remember the prologue? When david died... Well after that it showed them 2 years later. I think that in the end, after everything is done and the elf king is dead and they defeated the stone, there should be a poslogue that showed what happened after some time. I kinda wanna see them go back to earth and plant that tree that riva gave to navin. They should call it father david after their dad... But afterwards u tink they would just end up living with vigo in alledia

And about their aging, yes they do look a lot older... But how many time passed since book one? Thats not very clear and couldnt be longer than a couple months right?!

And yes i think trellis should tell em and vigo about what he learned in the void and i hope that that island that uncle virgil took him is actually algos island. I wanna see more about that book "on stone power" by silas charnon. Maybe theres some message for emily and navin there... Who knows. Algos island isnt on the map tough

And does anyone remember when the charnon house was fixed? I recall it missing both arms.

Idk its just and idea... Who knows what will happen?

Btw does anyone know of anyway of contacting kazu (maybe an email or some site)? I wanted to tell him to look at our discussions. You guys have some really good ideas and i think that he should at least know they exist. Some things could even make it into the book or just give some inspiration. Anything can happen.

So far from the story's buildup (and how they technically didn't even have to fight Max), I'm thinking you could be right. Elf King's already dead. Trellis confirmed that. We all saw what happened to Max in the end. The Voice is pretty much the cause of the conflict from what we've been shown thus far, so I imagine they'd go after him first and foremost.

As for contacting Kazu, try a Twitter account. I don't have one personally, but as I check in with his tweets on a daily basis, I see that he responds to fans often. So you might definitely have some luck there. If not, try emailing him at boltcity@gmail.com. He was giving out posters of Escape From Lucien awhile back, and I managed to nab one and have a few of my questions answered via email!

    • I'd like to see how Trellis could attack his own father, even if he knows the king is really dead, and the king tried to kill him. I also wonder how well he'll do as king.

I think Emily might stay behind to help Alledia keep peace.

    • i havent had much time to write these days, but ive been reading the other books again and i wanted to ask you some things:

what about gabilan? he simply vanished after book three and i dont know what to expect from him(or she idk). i wonder what he meant when he told logi that he would treat him better when he is king. does he plan to kill the king and become king himself? thatg wouldnt make him an ally to the gang either because he would have to kill trellis. (if youj think gabilan is a female, trade every he/him for she/her. damn feminism)

whatg abot trellis? will he killl his dead father? what about his and lugers memories? gabilan said that he erased them because of the kings orders. if the king is really dead (and seriously,  who doesnt think that at this point?), these orders came from the stone. then my theory of them discovering how to kill a stone causing their amnesia is stil plausible. i hope they can remember more like trellis remembered that time with his uncle virgil.

what about the king? if his condition is similar to max's, he could end it all with one word. its really unlikable, but i guess trellis could talk him into it. and something i wanted to ask... does he even still have a face? why would someone with a good mind (ok, he doesnt, but wth) use a mask with spikes on its edges. doesnt that thing hurt? i dont think we should see the kings face. it would spoil the mystery that surrounds his carachter. the best mystery stories dont tell whos the killer in the end.

what about SILAS? as blackcat brought up earlier in this thread, in the first book, silas uploaded all his toughts and memories to miskits databanks. that basically means he transfered his conciousness to miskits body, could it be that silas is there helping them in disguise? and, if not, why didnt miskit ever use that info? it could definetly be valuable in their journey.

what about earth? i think thatg at some point tey should go back to earth even to just hang around. or maybe plant that tree on their backyard and name it father david. but in the end they would just go back and live in alledia. the lastg boobk would have like an epilogue with that and the series would end with the little plant starting to grow. man, its painfull to thing that this is gonna end. i really like the books, and also i like to write about them. i dont know why tought.

oh and curlybrace, thanks for the info on contacting kazu. i dont have a twitter acount either XD but ill try the email later. and i dont know if you are some wiki manager or administrator or something, but if you or anyone reading this is, id like to point out that the wiki is a little outdated, on books, characters and some other stuff.

and for the someone that asked for a book name, i dont know if for the seventh book, but some book, maybe the last, should be called "'the dead king". i dont know, but it seems like a good name for the book where the kings secrets are uncovered.

well, i thing ive written too much by now lol thats all for tonight folks, see you another day.

    • I don't know about you guys but I think that the 7th, 8th 9th book or whatever should be called: The Final Heir. Also, I absolutely agree that Algos Island should be the place where Trellis and Luger grew up and that the reason why most of their memories were erased was because their mom (idk) told them how to destroy the Voice when they were little. But since the Elf King is under the control of the Voice and that it ordered to kill Trellis, it must be either he knows how to destroy the Voice or, he has something that the Voice needs or wants. Idk

Another thing: for the Wikia contributer who said that Riva could be Trellis' twin sister, I totally agree! Even though they may be pretty different from each other, I think Trellis was just really torn up about his mom dying(if that actually happened) and wasn't all that cheerful anymore. Anyway,  their personalities are still really similar. They both care about their people,( Ok Trellis didn't care about the elves until book 6) and their both rebels against the Elf King. Well tell me what you think below.

No problem. And yes, I am an administrator on this wiki. I do know that the wiki is a little (heck, more like a metric ton) outdated, but I try my absolute best given my studies and everything else. However, that's what you Wikia contributors are here for as well, right? Don't be afraid to spruce up articles and add on information when you can! Believe me, since I found this wiki and began sprucing it up, it's actually a lot better than it was before. I would write the summaries for the other books if I weren't so lazy. Maybe I'll get around to it soon.

    • I'm getting this feeling that Trellis might sacrifice himself for his friends.  I would just really hate if him or someone died.  And I think the home page needs a BIG update cuz there is now 6 books, there is WAY more characters and (if possible) add book 6 to the "what's your favorite volume in the series" poll. And besides the final heir as a title for an upcoming book, I was also thinking one could be called: Trust no one. Emily, Trellis and Vigo know that they can't trust the Voice, but at the same time,  it's the Voice that grants them their powers....

Also, I totally agree that algos island is were Luger and Trellis grew up, and, why does Max want Trellis to go there?

        Loading editor
    • What did Father Charles mean by "Get to know the son well"? What role will Riva play in book 7?  Because, at the end of book 6, Balan asked her what she was talking about with Trellis and Riva answered : "Not much, but I have a feeling I haven't seen the last of him.

What will that mean? Will Riva and Trellis be related? Will Riva use more potions? Because she only used one once in the 6th book.

Just a few questions to get your minds going...

I've actually considered that a bit and it is definitely a possibility. Though I still doubt it, Trellis and Luger are brothers and that hasn't always been known. The Elf King's royalty. Not at all farfetched for him to have multiple children wherever they may be.

    • Yeah, if the Voice is the source of their power, then how can they defeat him without using their amulet? Plus, if the can use tthe stone, the power that they would need to use to destroy the Voice would kill them at the same time. Wich would be pretty sad...

    • I would like to know how Trellis got his scar.  I know Kazu has said that his character was inspired by Prince Zuko (I read that somewhere, I cannot recall where), so I am wondering if Trellis' father was responsible for his scar;  Another possibility is that it was caused by Luger, but with their memories wiped, neither of them remembers it happening. Any other theories? :)

        Loading editor
    • Um, maybe Gabilan has something to do with it?

Plus,  I read in an interview with Kazu that Trellis might have a bigger role to play. Also,  I'm pretty sure something is going to happen between him and Riva.

I have a strong feeling they'll end up staying in Alledia even after the goal has been accomplished. I could be wrong, of course. Also, is theyre any confirmation as to whether the characters have aged or not since the first book?

      Well thats all for today

But really, I want to know more about the Charnon and Hayes families in general, because we haven't gotten much on them before the story began.

I don't know why it's just the feeling I get when I look at the cover. I mean, the silhouette at the bottom looks like younger Emily and David. I'm guessing that Emily meets her dad in the void or something. The Void Round three. *Rings bell*. Seriously though, that might be (if it happens), third time they went into the void, despite Vigo's warning.

I also totally agree about the whole Colossus thing. They were made for a reason and we want to see it in action.

Having Earth is a cool idea, but it also might flop if it doesn't turn out spectacularly. I'm trying to not be incredibly nit-picky, but it's just a huge gamble, story-wise.

Virgil and some more civillian elves, in and out of the Void, would be very cool. I'm hoping the Void has as big a part as it did in Book 5 and have people traveling through it.

Having Em talk to the Voice again would be cool. I also really want to know why it wants to create the chaos and damage it is and what it gains.

Finally, adressing the Elf King's face. I agree, we all want to see it. But I also feel like it would add more to the story if it were revealed in a later book, as Kazu has said this is not supposed to be the last one.

Of course, these are just my personal opinions.

I totally agree, I've always hated Max but when he died, I couldn't help but feel so bad. I wish he lasted longer in the books. I wasn't the only one who cried when he died right? RIGHT?!?!?! No? Ok... *Pushes 'play' on boom box and sings to 'Lonely'*

It was just so dumb how he told Emily to not freak out, even though he was the one who lost it, I mean I know he lost his friend and all, but it wasn't worth dying.

    • Anyone else here think that Max didn't see the real Layra? I mean, he said that the void would use their memories against them, so maybe that was a fake Layra and there's going to be a big confusion when the group meets the REAL layra, who is somehow alive and doesn't understand what they're talking about when they say something like "Why did you say you hated Max?!"

      Anyone...?

Makes sense that it might not be emily in the shadow, but back in time? She could do that in the void, but those would be Karen's memories and not Em's. Maybe it's a flashback or something.

Or it could be emily in the shadow after all

When does the book come out?

Seeing as the release date is tomorrow and some people have already managed to read the book, I wanted to begin a new thread for the next book. Please keep in mind that the 'following comments may contain spoilers for Book 6', so I advise those who haven't read the new book to refrain from reading or posting until after the fact.

      Thoughts?

It would be great if Max DIDN'T Die in book 6. He seemed like a great character, it it would be great if the author continued to develope him. D:

I dunno. I think he's thrown in the towel. Maybe he'll have some purpose later in the story, something important beyond his death. Especially with that whole "Algos Island" bit to Trellis. However, seeing as Kazu has already confirmed new characters in the next book, we might have someone to fill in a similar role.

I have to agree with you though, Gabilan should play a role in the next book, Earth & Emily's dad should be involved, and also, we should get to see the Elf King's face(although that might appear in later volumes).

I would also like him to play at least one last part or come back alive, he didn't deserve to die, he was only acting like that because of Layra.

I think Max and Emily share some very important similarities that kazu just barely grazed during Max's time alive. Em lost her father when she was young while Max lost his closesed freind (and posibly his mother long before), their stones are governed by the same entity, and the patterns on said stones are identical.

This is just my opinion but I think the fates of this duo are more closely entwined then we thought. It's very possible that we haven't seen the last of Max Griffin.

Yeah, I don't think Trellis will do something like that anyway. And I'm pretty sure Emily can dodge whatever Gabilan shoots or throws at her.

Surviving the explosion wouldn't be that hard. How many explosions (and even worse stuff) have Emily and the gang (?) survived until now? But yeah she would be really old. But she could always help them, idk there are many ways...

But i Still want Trellis and Emily to get together ;( especially since all the friendship development in book five

    • I would like to see Gabilan return and I would like to see how the scene plays out when Trellis had his memory erased. I would not like Riva to end up with Trellis unless there is a moment where he saves her or something, also the elf king should not show his face, it would make him less mysterious. I think Emily should see her dad and Karen should have a past in Alledia, possibly her memory of the place was erased by Silas so she could live a normal life. Also I noticed it seems there is a mistake with Vigo's son, David or Daniel, seems to die twice, but did anyone think maybe Vigo had two sons? It is possible and maybe will be more clearly explained in the new books.

I'd also like to see more of Gabilan.

Trellis probably got his memories erased by the King himself, or by someone following his orders, in order to keep a bigger secret that hasn't been uncovered yet. Or even, everyone's (at least every elf’s) memories could have been erased by the voice, to hide the secret that the King is a dead puppet, if his death actually came to be public.

Riva seems to be an interesting new character, but we still need to see more of her story and more character development. I just hope that this doesn't go on like Max's story did: a nice new character, has everything to be a really good addition to the group, betrays them for no apparent reason. (until his end when that's explained, I know). But I have a feeling that with Riva it's going to go differently. She seems more trustworthy than Max ever was, even before his betrayal.

About the King's mask, I think that it should stay on. I don't even care about what's behind it, now that we know the king is dead, and it really adds up to the mystery behind his character. Nevertheless, it would be really great if, when revealing the truth about the King to the rest of the elves, Trellis could actually unmask him. Figuratively and literally. Just imagine the mask thrown upside down on the ground with the words 'The Elf King is dead' being said, or just written on the page. That'd make for a great scene.

About David, Emily is probably going to see him, in the void, in some other illusion, or even in her dreams. But I hope that she actually gets to achieve her full powers with the stone and manage to turn back time as Silas told she would eventually be able to do when they first met. It's kind of sad that was also their last encounter, we could really use some more instructions. And, if i remember well, all of Silas's thoughts and memories were uploaded to Miskit's system, which means they have a whole lot of information that's being completely ignored. I kind of hope Kazu hasn't forgotten about this.

It is, indeed, completely possible that Karen has a past in Alledia. It doesn’t seem logical for Silas to skip a generation, and not pass the stone to karen, unless he was selfish and wanted to try to master it all by himself. Nevertheless, it’s possible that he did try to train Karen, but it didn’t go well, or se decided to leave and try to live a normal life, away from all of Silas’s world. If that happened, Karen wouldn’t necessarily need to have forgotten that, but she would naturally never mention it to the kids, in order to try and protect them from Alledia, and try to live a normal life.

I also thought Kazu had mistaken the names there with Vigo’s son, but it would make a lot of sense if he had two of them. And also, taking a wild guess here, I know that names aren’t restricted to a single person, but, if that’s true, David Hayes, Emily and Navin’s father, could be Vigo’s son. I don’t know what that would mean, but they would be all in family XD

Apart from this, I have some questions about the nature of the voice itself. Could it be that the mother stone was a sentient being, with a mind and voice, and when the founders of Alledia cut her in pieces to harness its power, she got angry and is now seeking revenge by creating the war and trying to take control of Alledia? Or could it be some kind of entity that possessed the stones and started to haunt their keepers? What do you think?

And seriously, please stop with this Tremily thing. I don’t care who you ship and who you don’t, but we’re in this thread to discuss the plot, and not just romance. I’m saying this because this sometimes starts to flood the thread and I can’t read the good posts because of a lot of this Tremily nonsense. There probably already is another thread for this specific matter.

When does book #7 come out? I hope the longer wait pays off.

And I’m pretty sure it will.
